Wow, this is very beautiful!! It makes me want to use coloured paper too. What kind of coloured pencil did you use= And did you use a reference? I am amazed what the coloured background does for the details. It gives it that 'oldish' effect. I love it too when I just can't stop working on a drawing.

prisma colored pencil is the way to go. The colored paper I purchased from michals craft store. yes I used a bearded dragon picture reference for this drawing, everything else was a collaboration of reflections in metal and various styles of fonts to get inspiration for the title piece. The back round is layer after layer of different colors. When you work with colored pencil, its all about layering.

thanks for your information. I have bought myself the supracolor set of Caran Dáche. Just looking at the brandnew box of new pencils can make me very happy. I always use them with water though, but as I can see in your work it can be done without water as well. Have a good day!! DUnno where you live but here in Holland its daytime.

Gorgeous work on the scales and horns of the lizard/ dragon - the the lighting is done so well and it looks very 3D. =D

You're work never ceases to shock me. This is stunning and so creative. The "Dragons" sign is fantastic, and the color choices are so lovely. :clap: My favorite bit are the mushrooms, such cute and amazing little detail. :)

Your work is a great inspiration for many artists who wish to color by hand. :D

I love the colors and the shading. The typography work is fantastic and the bearded dragon fits right in. It is a bearded dragon right? I will have to ask about what color you shaded with though :D
